A solid oak shelf in one piece, with a dynamic grain and an irregular natural edge. Its knots, cracks, and variations in shade create a unique design. You will receive the exact piece photographed, with your chosen options.

  • Length: 81 cm.
  • Variable width: 35 cm minimum, 38 cm maximum. Price is calculated based on the minimum width.
  • Finished thickness: 3.5 cm (35 mm).
  • One irregular natural longitudinal edge, one straight longitudinal edge, and two straight-cut ends.
  • Knots integral to the piece, open cracks, and small cavities visible in the photos.
  • Estimated weight: approx. 7.8 kg, excluding packaging. Conservative estimate calculated on the maximum width; actual weight may vary.

Raw version and optional finishes

The base price corresponds to two sides as-planed, unsanded, without resin or varnish, with sharp edges. The natural edge remains in the condition shown in the photos if no sanding option is selected. Chalk markings may remain on the raw piece.

Additional services available: epoxy resin in knots and cracks on the top side; 120-grit finish sanding, including edges; chamfered or rounded edges; matte varnish. The varnish requires sanding, which is charged once. Resin can be selected without sanding. The face without chalk, shown in the first photo, is the reference top side for the resin.

A studio find

This piece is part of our "Trouvailles de l’atelier" (Studio Finds), our selection of small pieces of reclaimed oak, prepared in Gambais in the Yvelines region. Indoor use only. No resizing or mounting included.

Kiln-dried wood: its moisture level varies with its environment and the wood continues to move. Length and width are shown to the nearest centimeter, with a tolerance of ±1 cm; thickness ±2 mm. For a fitted alcove, verify the measurements before ordering.

Preparation and delivery

Shipping within 3 business days for the raw version, or 7 business days with options; transit time is extra. Free pickup at the Gambais studio. Delivery in metropolitan France, including Corsica, according to the terms and rates offered at checkout.
